Thanks to our coaches in track and field for the information below following on from last weekend’s West District Championship:

We had lots of finalists and PB's over both days of the West District Championships.

Lucy Robertson won a Silver Medal in u13 Girls Javelin with a PB of 20.14m.

In the middle distance group we had 4 finalists in the 800m. U17W Joey Leach, U17M Dylan Drummond(100m finalist also) , U15B Stuart Russell and U20W Emma hunter, bronze medallist.

There were 6 PB’s. Joey Leach -2.25, Dylan Drummond -2.06, Stuart Russell-2.14, Cara Baldwin -2.40 and Emma Kelly - 2.44. Emma Kelly was also a finalist in the 100m with a PB of 14.07.

Iona Orr just missed out on a Bronze in u17 Girls Triple Jump. Ava Lenzi ran a PB in u13 Girls 200m getting into the semi-final where if the wind had been kinder would have run another PB.

Amanda Nicol performed well in the finals of Senior women’s 100 & 200m.

Jim White also ran a new PB in the 800m final.

Promising performances given that it's so early in the season!
