It was third time luck for Clare Barr who finished first lady, and 4th overall, in the 502nd Red Hose race - the oldest road race in the world.
It is a 3-mile course and has a rather nasty hill in the 2nd mile. Local residents hold a BBQ and band/dance to celebrate the event so there is a great atmosphere.
Only local residents are eligible to compete, so next year we can maybe get a few more MAC athletes taking part - you can never have too many socks...!
Well done Clare!
The race was the eigth event in this year's club championship series.
