Well done to Gayle Tait, who was first woman in the Cairn Table hill race at Muirkirk on Saturday.
Gayle completed the 8k course, which has a 360m climb, in 44.52.
She was game enough to point out that only two women took part in the race, which saw 20 starters in all - "presumably only 20 daft enough", she reckoned.
Championship table-topper Graeme Kennedy was sixth overall with a time of 36.45.
Next was Benny Hands on 40.42 followed by Nick Hughes on 41.26.
Jo Clark was second woman overall on 42.32.
Carole Munro (44.25) and Phyllis Hands (45.07) were next and the trio comprised the winning female team.
