It was medals and PB galore for MAC at the LAAA Championships held at Wishaw on Saturday 28th August.
Gold medals for: L Gibb - u17 Men 100m, C Hemmings - u13 Boys Shot Putt, J Crossan - u15 Boys Shot Putt, D McIsaac - u15 Boys Javelin, D McCrum - u17 Men Javelin.
Silver medals for: J Cahill - u11 Boys 100m, D Ingram - u11 Girls 800m, I Clark - u17 Ladies 800m & 200m, J. McCluskey - u15 Boys 200m, G. Morris - u17 Ladies Long Jump, B. Crossan u13 Boys Javelin, J. Crossan - u15 Boys Javelin, C. Martin - u17 Men Javelin.
Bronze medals for: S. Byers - u17 Ladies 100 & 200m, G.Morris - u17 Ladies 800m, S Kelly - u15 Boys 200m, B. Crossan - u13 Boys Shot Putt, C.Martin - u17 Men Shot Putt, C. Hemmings - u13 Boys Javelin.

Well done to all those who competed. David McCrum's winning Javelin throw may be a Lanarkshire record - the powers that be are checking.

Sunny conditions all round for the annual trip to the Bute Highland Games. First up was the putting competition with Graeme Kennedy and Elaine Jamieson taking the honours.
3 T&F athletes competed - congratulations to Gwen Morris who was 2nd in the 800m. John and Megan McCulloch also competed in the 100m and 200m.
29 MAC athletes tackled the Rothesay 10K, the latest race in the Championship series.

A huge congratulations to David McCrum who became Scottish Champion in the U17's Javelin at the recent Scottish Open Championships. David took gold with his last throw, also a PB, of 47.60m.
Congratulations also go to David McIsaac who competed in the U15's Javelin at the Scottish Open Championships. David threw a PB of 34.49m to finish 6th.
Seven MAC athletes tackled the Helensburgh Half Marathon, the latest race in the Championship series.
