How long have you been a runner/athlete? I've always run but became more serious about it a year or so ago after turning 40 and having a kind of "I need to look after myself better" mid-life crisis
What do you enjoy most about running/athletics? Challenging myself, getting out and allowing my mind to freewheel while running (some of my best ideas have come somewhere between the first and the 13th mile), the crack at races
Favourite race/event and PB:Favourite so far would be the Mull half-marathon on August 13, 2006. Set a PB of 1.41.51. Favourite 10k - Scotland Run, Central Park, New York, April 2 2006. 10K PB - Carluke, June 4, 2006 - 44.55.
Favourite food: My wife's mince and tatties and curry (not on the same plate)
Favourite holiday destination: No one place leaps out but France is a frequent destination. Aiming to go back to Australia at some point
Hobbies (apart from running/athletics): Keeping this website up-to-date! Getting out on my bike with my wife and daughter when possible, dabbling in a bit of photography
Lifetime's ambition: In running, to get below 1.40 in a half marathon and ideally sub-44.00 in a 10k. In life - to smile through adversity!
