Occupation: Civil Servant working for the Pension Service
How long have you been a runner/athlete? Anne bought me my first track suit in 1977, so I felt obliged to go out for a jog. As you can see it took me a number of years to turn in to the lean mean running machine I am today
What do you enjoy most about running/athletics? I really enjoy beating Kenny in 10Ks. Other than this the list is honestly endless. Health benefits, socialising, competition, coaching etc
Favourite race/event and PB: I tend to enjoy most races after they are finished. However my favourite is probably the Bute 10K as the whole day is usually great fun. PB’s 5K 16:20, 10K 33:50, Half Marathon 1:18 and Marathon 3 hours 40 seconds. (That one still hurts.)
Favourite food: Probably Italian, closely followed by Thai and Mexican
Favourite holiday destination: I really enjoy cruising but unlike Joe and Mags we can’t afford to cruise 3 or 4 times per year. Probably Barbados just sneaks it
Hobbies (apart from running/athletics): I would say D.I.Y but Anne will probably read this. Tennis, walking and spending time with my family. (If they come down to the club.)
Lifetime's ambition: To continue to remember my PB’s and to keep beating Kenny in 10K's. Personal: To avoid getting any more cars stolen and to enjoy life to such an extent that I never end up watching daytime TV.
